About Grove Road Surgery

At Grove Road Surgery, giving only the best possible service to its patients is its core commitment. Providing medical and health services to the people of Tottenham and Haringey, it offers a wide spectrum of services which include a number of patient participation groups and clinics.

Committed towards improving the services it extends within the NHS, it is made up of a team of doctors, medical and health care professionals, and staff that are all focused on giving patients the best in terms of primary care. It believes in the importance of treating all of its patients as equal partners in terms of the attention and care that they need.

Providing services under the National Health Services, the practice believes that improvement in their service delivery will only be achieved by working together with their patients. It believes in the importance of the contributions and input of the patients to provide them what the best level of care.

Respect is a core element that the practice leans on in addressing the health concerns and needs of its patients. Every individual is treated with respect regardless of their religious belief, ethnic origin, or personal attributes. These are things that will not hold any bearing in the manner in which they should be attended to.

Discussions are going to play a crucial role in determining what is the best course of action to take for every patient. This is to ensure that they will be given only the most appropriate care by qualified and experienced people. Any treatment or care will not be given to a patient unless there is informed consent. Patients are also given full information and disclosure about every service that is being offered. This is necessary in order for a patient to make the right decisions especially since they are going to directly affect their care and their health.

The clinic offers a number of services under the NHS. It is involved in the Doctor-Pharmacist Partnership program as well as the Mino Ailment Scheme. All the approved pharmacists that are part of this program are able to extend advice and treatment for certain conditions such as back pain, cystitis, earache, and cold sores among others. These are conditions that do not really require a patient to need to see a physician.

Consultation is available for patients Mondays through Fridays with both morning and evening schedules. The practice also offers special clinics for child health surveillance, asthma, family planning, maternity, and immunisations among others. Patients that want to see a nurse or a general practitioner on a weekend can get an appointment to see them from 8am to 8pm.

Patients that require repeat prescriptions are advised to allow for about 48 hours before they can collect it in person or do so online. As of the moment, the practitioners do not do home visits unless in those extreme cases where the patient may be too ill to come to the surgery. Ensuring that the premises are accessible to all, the setting is designed to be fully accessible to patients in a wheelchair.
